(Large diversified holding group, established in the early 1970s)
The organization is a long-established diversified holding group comprising over ten operating companies across trading, manufacturing, facilities management, telecommunications, and related sectors. During my tenure, I worked on multiple critical, group-level initiatives, reporting directly to Board members and senior management.
Strategic Development & Execution
I was engaged by the Board and Directors to support a top-management strategic initiative (“Izdihaar”), designed as a structured brainstorming and transformation program to address long-term sustainability, organizational alignment, and growth challenges across the group.
Initially appointed as a moderator and facilitator, my role involved:
- Designing and leading strategy workshops for senior leadership
- Identifying structural, operational, and cultural barriers across business units
- Capturing and synthesizing inputs into actionable strategic themes
As the initiative evolved, I was entrusted with the role of Strategic Project Manager, responsible for translating high-level direction into execution. This included:
- Leading cross-functional workstreams spanning HR, Marketing, and Business Development
- Defining governance structures, milestones, and success metrics
- Coordinating stakeholders across group companies to ensure alignment and accountability
- Supporting leadership in decision-making through structured analysis and progress reporting
The engagement resulted in a clearly defined strategic framework, improved cross-company collaboration, and a foundation for sustained organizational development at the group level.
In short, my role within this project involved the below:
